The third weekend of August was once again a time for sport and fun, here in Burr Ridge. Our Second Annual Compass Soccer Tournament was a huge success. 22 teams were competing for the title of the best soccer players in the Trucking Industry. This significant title this year was won by the team of Alamo Truck Driving School. These guys were the best.
Compass Truckers Soccer Tournament is a one of a kind sporting event - designed especially for truck drivers.
The Second annual tournament took place on the third weekend in August. For two days, 22 teams competed for top prizes and bragging rights for a year. The top three teams were presented with trophies and checks. Let's not forget about the BIG TRUCK GIVEAWAY which was raffled off on the second day. The winner of the 2007 VNL 670 Volvo was Mykola Hladiy.
Our Tournament supports the greatest philanthropic organization in the world - Shriners Hospitals for Children where all kids are treated. We invite the whole family and all of your friends to support this worthy cause.
Our Guests at this event were able to meet other members from the trucking industry, share stories, exchange ideas, make contacts and have fun while doing it. There were no shortage of activities, games, prizes, food and beverages that kept everyone relaxed and entertained.
*This is a free event, although we did encourage guests to make a donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children who were present. Last year we were honored to grant the Shriners a check and this year we hope to raise even more funds. Any donation, large or small, will help make a difference in the lives of children who need it most.
